Batuuu and other players were also considered
Support Kim "Piero" Jung-hun has been a priority for Karmine Corp Blue in the past few days. However, the French organization couldn't lock the player since he was waiting for an opportunity with GIANTX in the LEC.
On Monday, GIANTX told Piero that they wouldn't pick him for their LEC team, going into next year, having more than one other option likely to join. As a consequence, Piero decided to join an LFL team. His choice was between Gentle Mates and Karmine Corp Blue. A few hours ago, the Korean player picked the Blue Wall and reached a verbal agreement with the organization, sources tell Sheep Esports.
Other players were considered for the position by KC, notably South Korean support Oh "Career" Hyeong-seok. However, the team also had options in EMEA with Mohamed "Myrtus" Rahli and Batu "Batuuu" Kaygusuz.
The last piece
The support made his mark within DRX’s academy teams, competing first in LCK AS (3rd division) and later in LCK CL (2nd division). He reached the Challengers League final in Spring 2023, ultimately falling to Dplus KIA’s reserve team. After transitioning to a substitute role in Summer 2023 due to his AD Carry Son “Pleata” Min-woo’s role swap, Piero moved to Europe to join UOL Sexy Edition (USE) in the Prime League for the 2024 season. Following a promising Spring Split, Unicorns of Love accomplished a minor feat in the Summer Split, climbing through the Lower Bracket of the playoffs to secure the title—a run in which Piero primarily played tanks, as dictated by the meta.
Piero is the final addition to the 2025 Karmine Corp Blue roster. At the Prestigious, he will be reunited with fellow countryman Seo “SlowQ” Ye-bit in the midlane. Piero will team up in the botlane with French AD Carry Thomas “Exakick” Foucou, who has not competed with a support other than Mads “Doss” Schwartz since Spring 2021. On the toplane, KCB has chosen to renew their trust in Volodymyr “Maynter” Sorokin, while in the jungle, Mehdi “Boukada” Lahlou will take over from Doğukan “113” Balcı.
Karmine Corp Blue’s reported 2025 roster:
Top: Volodymyr “Maynter” Soroki
Jungle: Mehdi “Boukada” Lahlou
Mid: Seo “SlowQ” Ye-bit
ADC: Thomas “Exakick” Foucou
Support: Kim "Piero" Jeong-hoon
