After KHK, ROSSMAN Centaurs will now become the second team from PRM 2 to join the German top flight
The slot has not been vacant for long. On Monday, Sheep Esports reported that SK Gaming Prime would be leaving the Prime League. As announced by the team, ROSSMAN Centaurs will take over Schroet Kommando's spot in the German league. Initially launched during the 2022 season under the name of Team Omniscius, the club previously competed in the third German tier.
Then, Omniscius rebranded for the first time in 2023 to become HNVR Esports —the organization is based in Hannover— and played the PRM2 Summer Split. The team changed its name a second time in December 2023 to take its current name and kept playing in the second division in 2024. Across three splits, the team consistently delivered mid-table finishes: 5th in the Summer of 2023 and 4th in both splits of the 2024 season.
ROSSMAN Centaurs will now become the second team from PRM 2 to join the German top flight, following Kaufland Hangry Knights, who secured promotion via the Up&Down. Interestingly, both ROSSMAN and Kaufland are major German retail chains—ROSSMAN a drugstore chain, and Kaufland a hypermarket chain. Having started in Division 2 in 2023, the Store's war will now continue in the Prime League’s top division.
A school program
While KHK have assembled a roster that appears strong on paper—featuring Iwan “Venour” Skorikov, Jochem “Rabble” van Graafeiland, Adam “Random” Grepl, Johannes “Fun K3y” Werner, and Benjamin “Visdom” Larsen—ROSSMAN have yet to finalize their lineup, despite the offseason already being well underway.
From the beginning, the club has traditionally sourced players from a school program affiliated with the Dr. Buhmann School & Academy, with all the players living in Hannover. According to Sheep Esports sources, this approach will continue for the 2025 season. ROSSMAN therefore won’t have to look far to build their roster, but they may severely limit their pool of available talent...
