In 2021, keloqz was the first French player to qualify for a global event
Wassim “keloqz” Cista is taking another shot in VCL France. According to Sheep Esports sources, he has verbally agreed with Mandatory for the upcoming season of the French VALORANT league. The French-Algerian player joined the league in 2024 with DVM but left after a 5th-place finish in Split 1. Keloqz subsequently took a break during the second half of the season, before announcing on X his desire to return to the competitive scene in August.
Before joining the French league, Keloqz competed at the highest level in the VCT EMEA. In 2022, he was the only French player outside Karmine Corp to play in the regional elite. The Jett main was then with Team Heretics but had a challenging season, finishing only 8th in the league. Keloqz also has experience on the international stage, having competed in the Berlin Masters in 2021 with G2 Esports. Seen as a promising talent upon joining the Samurai, he was the first French player to qualify for a global event.
Three final losses in a row
Keloqz is Mandatory’s second recruit, following IGL Enzo “Enzo” Mestari, as previously reported by Sheep Esports. The team, founded by streamer Adrien “ZeratoR” Nougaret, has opted for experience, bringing in two seasoned players. MDR will be looking to finally find the winning formula after three final losses in a row: both Splits in 2023 and Split 1 in 2024. The team even dropped to 4th in Split 2 of the 2024 season, and now aims to turn the tide with these reinforcements.
