With polvi, UCAM have completed their VCL roster
Niko "polvi" Polvinen has reached an agreement to join UCAM Esports Club in the Spanish VCL next year, according to Sheep Esports sources. A veteran of the space, polvi is a Finnish duelist who's played professional VALORANT since First Strike, and made his VCT debut this year. He played in the VCT Pacific with Global Esports, but the team failed to place above 7th all year. Still, he isn't unfamiliar with regional play in Europe — before making his VCT debut in PAC this year, he played in the French VCL and VRL circuits for years.
With this pickup, UCAM have completed their roster. After second and fourth place finishes last year in their regional league, they're hoping to take the next step towards the Ascension tournament. A duelist with experience at the VCT level like polvi is the perfect way to take that next step.
UCAM's reported 2025 roster:
- Maximilian "bucher" Bucher
- Fabian "Quick" Gomez
- Eloy "YuNo" García Burgueño
- Karel "Flickless" Maeckelbergh
- Niko "polvi" Polvinen
