Heroic has changed its entire roster for 2025

For 2025, Heroic is undergoing a complete overhaul. According to Sheep Esports sources, the Danish organization has signed five new players: Álvaro “SunPayus” García, Linus "nilo" Bergman, and the former Sangal Esports trio — as previously reported by HLTV — Linus “LNZ” Holtäng, Yasin “xfl0ud” Koç, and Simon “yxngstxr” Boije. Benched by Falcons last September following Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev’s arrival on loan, SunPayus is therefore returning to competitive play. His stint with the Saudi organization — which has just recruited three former Heroic players (René "TeSeS" Madsen, Damjan "kyxsan" Stoilkovski, and Abdul "degster" Gasanov) — yielded mixed results.

Before losing his spot in the starting lineup ahead of the Shanghai Major preparation, the Spanish AWPer had failed to secure qualification for the year’s first Major in Copenhagen. His best performance of 2024 came early in the year when he reached the semi-finals of IEM Katowice in February. In that tournament, however, Falcons were eliminated by Team Spirit, where a certain Danil “donk” Kryshkovets revealed himself to the public for the first time. Before joining Falcons, SunPayus had an excellent 2023 year with ENCE, where he reached the finals of IEM Cologne and Gamers8, and most notably secured victory at IEM Dallas.

Wave of Success

For the past year and a half, Nilo has been the star player for Metizport. At just 20 years old, the Swedish prospect recently claimed his first offline title, the Svenska Cupen 2024. His highly anticipated Tier 1 debut looms on the horizon. Meanwhile, the three former Sangal players are also riding a wave of success. Together, they secured back-to-back victories in the ESL Challenger League Seasons 47 and 48: Europe this year. Sangal concluded the year ranked 23rd in Valve's Global Ranking.
