After Missing Out earlier this year, Rising Esports is signing swaglord9000's roster to play in the VCT GC Pacific
With the VALORANT Champions Tour Game Changers Pacific set to take place from October 6–12, a new contender is preparing to enter the league. According to sources close to Sheep Esports, Rising Esports are set to sign the Australian roster swaglord9000.
This move means Rising Esports—who had previously been eliminated in the quarterfinals of Split 2 in Game Changers South Asia—will now step into the Pacific elite, joining Falcons Vega, Xipto GC, HYPA HYPA Esports, Ninetails, FENNEL Female, Reignite Lily, and Asterisk Women.
Not Jobless Anymore
The swaglord9000 roster had been searching for a new home after a short stint under the True Synergie Gaming banner. Securing an organization was crucial for the players, especially after they locked in a spot for the VCT GC Pacific.
The Australian squad earned their qualification in style during Split 1 of Game Changers Oceania. They opened with a 2–0 win over Eternal Valor, before falling to the lower bracket after a 1–2 loss to Kiss. From there, they rallied with a 2–1 victory over Divine, setting up a revenge match against Kiss. This time, alannah and her teammates came out on top, sealing the run with a 3–1 triumph.
On the Rise
Now, Rising Esports are making the leap into the Pacific top flight after missing out earlier this year. The team had qualified for Split 2 of GC South Asia through a third-place finish in the Open Qualifier #2, but ultimately fell short, finishing 5th–6th and missing their chance to move forward.
But Rising did not give up on their goal and decided to sign swaglord9000's roster to participate in the VCT GC Pacific, overhauling their lineup and parting ways with celll, Medusa, mika, RIRI, and YUMIKO.
