New project and new ambitions for Split 3
On Sunday, F9 EICAR have just confirmed their promotion to Challengers France, as reporter several days ago by Sheep Esports, and has announced the five players who will represent the club. The announcement, teased in the Paris metro this weekend, comes exactly one week before the return of competition for Split the 3 of the French VALORANT league.
The most notable face of this new roster is Sammy “iDex” Van de Weghe, the Belgian in-game leader who has been active on the scene since the game's launch. He previously played for teams such as UCAM, Solary, and Sector One, with whom he won a French Championship title in 2022.
A bet on new talents
Alongside him is Quentin “Juskay” Aubert, who recently won Split 2 with Valiant and has been a free agent since the end of this split. Despite only turning pro in early 2025, he will be the second most experienced player on the project, joined by three young talents from the Tier 3 VALORANT ecosystem. The first is Antoine “Nuevo” Pires, the only remaining player from previous iterations of F9 EICAR before their promotion to Challengers France. He is expected to retain his role as Sentinel, which he previously held.
Saleh “Helas” Ben Atia made a name for himself as a Duelist with EvozA Esports, a club with which he reached the final stages of the Open Tour France multiple times. The roster is completed by the recruitment of “kurotchi”, who recently played in the MENA region with 3BL Esports and will now compete in the upcoming Split of the French VALORANT league, set to begin on July 5.
