Labrov has been allowed to explore his options
His arrival in the LEC seemed inevitable. According to sources close to Sheep Esports, Polat "Parus" Furkan Çiçek will be Team BDS' new support for the upcoming LEC season and Labros “Labrov” Papoutsakis is free to explore his options for the offseason. In addition to these two, Team BDS has also reportedly let Adam "Adam" Maanane, Janik "JNX" Bartels, Tim "Keduii" Willers and Steven "Reeker" Chen explore offers.
Team BDS is the main team in charge of the dominoes this League of Legends' offseason. The Swiss team has nine players, including players from both the LEC and academy teams, who finish their contracts this year and with that a major headache for next year.
Labrov has been one of the best supports in the LEC during the year, the Greek player finished his contract and BDS had a difficult decision to make when it came to both renewing his contract and considering a possible change. Both Yoon "Ice" Sang-hoon and Labrov have fit perfectly into Team BDS’s philosophy and adapted to the playstyle imposed by Head Coach Yanis "Striker" Kella, becoming, for a large part of the LEC season, the best botlane.
First piece of the puzzle
Parus, on the other hand, has been one of the most sought-after players by LEC teams in this offseason, a difficult decision that has ended up in favour of the Turkish support, who already had chances to move up to the LEC during the year, but declined the opportunity. Despite this, and having already been part of the previous offseason’s famous "musical chairs" for the support position in the LEC, next year we will have the opportunity to see one of the most hype players of the ERL and current EMEA Masters champion.
Although this move will unlock a lot of the offseason for the rest of the teams, Team BDS still has a lot of puzzles to solve in what looks to be one of the busiest offseasons in recent years in the LEC due to the number of free agents that will be available.
