Pearl and Split are back

Riot Games unveiled this Sunday, September 15, the new map rotation coming to VALORANT starting with Act 6 (patch 11.08), scheduled for October 14. As announced by the official account, Ascent will be leaving the rotation after more than 210 days of presence, just like Lotus, which is set to disappear after over 270 days in the map pool. The duo will therefore be replaced, once Champions Paris 2025 comes to an end, by Pearl and Split. Both maps have been absent for almost 100 days since their removal back in Patch 11.00.

The complete list of maps available from October 14:

  • Haven
  • Sunset
  • Bind
  • Corrode
  • Abyss
  • Pearl
  • Split

Why do maps disappear and return?

VALORANT currently has a total of twelve maps, each offering unique layouts, mechanics, and strategic opportunities. Each map introduces different elements that influence gameplay, making strategic planning essential. Most maps feature two spike sites, but Haven and Lotus stand out by offering three, adding an extra layer of complexity.

Some maps also include dynamic features such as breakable doors, rotatable walls, or gaps players can jump across to gain a tactical advantage. VALORANT features a rotating map pool designed to maintain a dynamic and balanced gameplay experience. In both competitive and unranked modes, only seven maps are available simultaneously, with others temporarily removed to allow for updates, reworks, or balancing adjustments by Riot Games, for example.
