Ethan “Sevire” Starke joins the rival. According to sources from Sheep Esports, the former Solary player has reached an agreement with Karmine Corp to join their Blue Stars project for the upcoming VCL France season. The British flex player is set to enter his third season in the French VALORANT league. Before joining Solary for the 2024 season, Sevire had indeed spent a year with WYLDE.

His first season in VCL France yielded better results. Sevire achieved a third-place finish in Split 2 of 2023, while his time with Solary proved far more challenging. The club finished 6th in Split 1 and 7th in Split 2, forcing them into the Up&Down tournament to retain their spot in France’s VALORANT elite. Although Solary successfully held their position, the organization announced on November 15 that they would be withdrawing from Riot Games’ FPS scene for the 2025 season.

Third player

By late September, the club had already confirmed the departure of its roster, leaving Sevire on the market. He is now the third player signed by KCBS for the upcoming season, following Khoury “Yohpa” Baptiste and Roman “f4ngeer” Smirnov, as previously reported by Sheep Esports. At 22 years old, Sevire is currently the oldest member of Karmine Corp's academy roster. As a reminder, this academy team was officially unveiled during KCX4 at the U Arena in Paris on November 9.

The creation of KCBS was made possible by Riot’s recent policy shift, allowing VCT EMEA teams to establish academy rosters within the VCL network. This marks a departure from Riot’s previous restrictions and mirrors the ERL model used in League of Legends. Karmine Corp are not alone in this venture; KOI (VCL Spain) and Team Liquid (VCL North/East) have also decided to launch academy teams.
