Trymbi rejected a Superliga offer from KOI
As the unveiling of the Americas League draws near, teams are working overtime to build their rosters. According to Sheep Esports sources, support Adrian "Trymbi" Trybus has reached an agreement with Vivo Keyd Stars in the Americas South Conference heading into 2025. Despite trying out for GIANTX in the LEC and receiving an offer from KOI Academy in the Superliga, Trymbi elected to take his talents to Brazil as he was motivated to play in a new environment. Therefore his objective is to go abroad for a year to prove himself again and reunite with coach Christopher "SeeEl" Lee.
Since his championship run with Rogue in the 2022 LEC Summer Split, Trymbi has not stopped trying to replicate his success. Following the introduction of the 3-split system in 2023, KOI (formerly Rogue) had dropped off and lost the magic of the previous year. Going into the summer split, Trymbi jumped ship and teamed up with Razork and Humanoid over at Fnatic in hopes of finally overcoming the G2 hurdle. His tenure on Fnatic was short-lived — the team again placed second in the region and went 2-3 in the Swiss Stage at Worlds 2023 after a heartbreaking loss to Weibo Gaming, and Trymbi was left searching for a team yet again.
Undeterred, Trymbi would team up with former G2 players Wunder, Jankos, and Flakked under the Team Heretics banner as they looked to make a run for Worlds. Although every player but midlaner Artur "Zwyroo" Trojan was an LEC champion, the team never quite got it together. Placing fifth and eighth in the Spring and Summer Playoffs respectively, Heretics did not qualify for the 2024 Season Finals, ending their year far earlier than most expected.
Over in Brazil, Vivo Keyd Stars aim to transition their regular-season success into championships. The team finished as the first seed in both 2024 CBLOL Split 1 and 2 regular seasons but only got as far as second place in the playoffs. This won't be the first time the organization has aimed for internationals — they fielded Loïc "toucouille" Dubois and Ludvig Erik Hugo "Smiley" Granquist this year as well as coach SeeEl, who coached Trymbi and Rogue during their championship run.
The addition of Trymbi will undoubtedly elevate Vivo Keyd Stars in their quest for more than just regular season success and top 3 finishes in playoffs. The Americas League is almost officially here and Sheep Esports will be there to cover all the latest changes.
