Today, an agreement has been reached for Finn to return as the toplaner for the LEC team.
Toplaner Finn "Finn" Wiestål has reached a verbal agreement with the Rogue organization to join their LEC team, sources told Sheep Esports on Friday.
Finn's esports career
This agreement marks Finn's return to Rogue after three seasons competing for other teams, including CLG in North America, and Excel and Astralis in the LEC.
Finn was signed from Movistar Riders by Rogue at the end of 2018. However, he did not immediately join Rogue's main team. Instead, he started with the organization's academy team, which has produced many top-tier players. Rogue EC competed in 2019 with Finn, Kacper "Inspired" Słoma, Emil "Larssen" Larsson, and Oskar Mateusz "Vander" Bogdan, among others. The following year, the LEC main team decided to bet on them and promoted the four players to the LEC, delivering quite decent performances, reaching playoffs in all editions and winning the LEC 2020 Summer Regular Season.
Finn comes from competing with Astralis, finishing ninth in the last split. However, in the LEC 2023 Spring Season, they finished second against all expectations.
Rogue's future Roster
Meanwhile, Rogue has once again changed their naming after a year of partnership with Ibai Llanos under the name of Koi, which ended up dissolving, thus reverting to their former name, Rogue.
According to sources close to Sheep Esports, for now, it seems that this will be the only change for the European organization based in the United States. Finn will replace Mathias "Szygenda" Jensen in the starting roster.
The roster will be as follows:
- Finn "Finn" Wiestål
- Mark "Markoon" van Woensel
- Emil "Larssen" Larsson
- Markos "Comp" Stamkopoulos
- Théo "Zoelys" Le Scornec
