The South Korean duo will join the team in the Prime League next year
Mid Laner Seo "TolanD" Sang-won and Support Kim "Piero" Jung-hun have reached verbal agreements with Unicorns of Love Sexy Edition to join the Prime League, according to Sheep Esports sources.
A Powerful Roster
Having previously competed for T1 and DRX's Challengers teams, the two South Korean players are poised to make their mark in the Prime League and bring another regional title to the German organization. With the news of former UOL mid laner Lee "Mask" Sang-hun joining Immortals in the LCS next year, the organization wasted no time in securing their successors.
This move finalizes the team's roster for the upcoming 2024 season. With experienced EMEA veterans like jungler jungler Lukas "Lurox" Thoma and bot laner Matthew Charles "xMatty" Coombs, the team is determined to establish itself as a strong contender in the competitive season to come.
Winning the spring split and the Prime Pokal off-season tournament in 2023, UOL is now aiming to the stars with their new additions, hoping to continue their streak of dominance in the DACH ERL.
Promising Imports
Despite taking a year-long hiatus from competitive play in 2023, TolanD continues to be a force to be a force to be reckoned with as he enters the Prime League. Previously, he competed under the banners of T1 and Liiv Sandbox, with whom he achieved consistently good results. While TolanD did not secure a title of Challengers League champion during his time in South Korea, he consistently ranked among the top-performing mid laners in the league throughout his years there.
On the flip side, Piero enters 2023 with strong momentum, having recently earned himself a first place in the LCK CL spring regular season, followed by a second-place finish in the split's playoffs. While he may not boast as much experience as his mid lane counterpart, Piero has delivered impressive results for DRX during his tenure in the spring split. Although he hasn't had the opportunity to compete in the summer split, the support is still expected to be a strong addition to the team's roster.
Overall, even though these two imports may appear less experienced and established than UOL's previous South Korean duo (jungler CaD and mid laner Mask), the rookies from the LCK CL, coupled with German rookie Gia "Addusto" Huy Khuat, are expected to bring an exciting dimension to the German organization's roster.
