Watch out, Flakked...
Khalil “Rin” Sahraoui is staying in Spain. According to sources from Sheep Esports, the Algerian AD Carry has reached a verbal agreement with Los Heretics for the upcoming LVP season. The former Ramboot Club player had also garnered interest from many LFL teams: Vitality.Bee, Gentle Mates, Team GO, and Karmine Corp Blue.
But M8 eventually picked Markos “Comp” Stamkopoulos, KCB verbally agreed with Thomas “Exakick” Foucou, and the Redstorm decided to extend its AD Carry, Jean “Jezu” Massol. Earlier in the offseason, Rin was also a serious option for Cloud9 in the LCS NA, but the team chose to bring Jesper "Zven" Svenningse back. Following these moves, Rin opted to continue his journey in the Superliga, this time with Heretics' academy.
Rookie of the Split
Rin made his mark in the spring of 2023 with Geekay Esports, where he won the Arabian League. After a 4th place finish in the Summer, he did not compete during the Spring Split of 2024. However, upon joining Ramboot, the AD Carry immediately impressed the public. With some exceptional KDA, he helped his team secure nine consecutive victories at the beginning of the Summer Split. In just his second game in Spain, Rin even pulled off a pentakill with Kai'Sa against Guasones.
Ramboot eventually finished 3rd in the Summer Split, and Rin not only earned the "Rookie of the Split" award but was also rated the second-best AD Carry in the league this summer according to Sheep Stats, with a score of 73/100. Rin is also a standout SoloQ player, having reached rank 8 on the EUW ladder in season 14 and finishing 3rd in Jean “Trayton” Medzadourian's SoloQ Challenge.
A promising roster
Highly appreciated by the French audience, Rin is widely regarded as one of the rising stars in the European League of Legends scene, making him an excellent addition to Los Heretics. However, he will face significant pressure, as he steps into the shoes of Jakob “Jackspektra” Kepple, one of ERL's top ADCs and a regular LEC contender. In addition, Los Heretics are the reigning two-time LVP champions and reached the semifinals of the 2024 Summer EMEA Masters. Rin will therefore need to meet high expectations if Los Heretics want to maintain their dominance in Spain.
Fortunately, Rin won't shoulder this burden alone. The team has undergone major changes during the offseason, and Rin is the fourth new addition to Los Heretics’ 2025 roster, following toplaner Sebastian “Tracyn” Wojtoń, jungler Kacper “Daglas” Dagiel, and midlaner Jan “SAJATOR” Zítek, as previously reported by Sheep Esports. On paper, this roster is packed with promising talent, and if the players can build synergy and continue their upward trajectory, they could compete not only for the title in Spain but also for the EMEA Masters one.
