Reapered to re-join Cloud9 for LCS summer 2024
According to sources close to Sheep Esports, Bok "Reapered" Han-gyu will rejoin Cloud9 for the LCS 2024 Summer Split.
Reapered has a history of already having coached Cloud9 as well as having coached in the LCS. His most recent stint was in LJL, coaching for Sengoku Gaming, where he and SG secured 1st place during LJL 2023 Spring Split, as well as finishing 2nd place in playoffs. In Summer, SG did not reach the same results. However, they still put up a good performance, finishing 5th place during the Summer Split and 3rd place in playoffs.
The last time Reapered was in North America, he was coached for 100 Thieves, who finished 2nd place during 2022, making it to Worlds where they unfortunately got knocked out in the group stage with a 1-5 record.
Reapered's coaching prowess is well-documented, having led Cloud9 to numerous LCS playoff appearances and strong international showings in the past. He was part of the 2018 Cloud9 run where they finished 3-4th place, unfortunately losing to Fnatic 0-3 during the semi-finals.
Cloud9's decision to bring Reapered back into the fold demonstrates their commitment to reclaiming their position as a dominant force in the LCS after their unfortunate loss during the Spring Split to Team Liquid. With his return, fans can expect to see Cloud9 guided by Reapered's leadership and strategic acumen, hopefully returning to the top.
As the LCS 2024 Summer Split approaches, all eyes will be on Cloud9 and Reapered as they aim to make their mark on the league once again. With his proven track record of success with Cloud9, there's no doubt that Reapered's return will have a significant impact on Cloud9's performance, setting the stage for an exciting and competitive split ahead.
