After five years with Excel (rebranded as GIANTX in 2024), veteran ADC Patrik "Patrik" Jírů was released from the team ahead of this offseason. However, he's set to remain in the LEC — sources have told Sheep Esports that Patrik has reached a verbal term agreement to play for Rogue, or for any organization that may acquire Rogue's slot, for the 2025 LEC season. With numerous LEC splits under his belt over a decade-long career, Patrik’s wealth of experience makes him a foundational piece of Rogue’s roster, which remains a work in progress. He is set to replace Markos "Comp" Stamkopoulos, who will play for Gentle Mates in the LFL next year.

Patrik boasts a lengthy career, having entered the competitive scene during the early seasons of League of Legends. He first made a name for himself by winning local tournaments in the Czech Republic, such as the RoG Masters Season 5 in 2016. In mid-2017, he competed in the EUCS Summer Qualifier with Reign, marking his first foray into high-level competition, though the team failed to advance past the group stage. He then went on to play a short stint in the LVP with Origen and the TPL (the predecessor of the TCL) with Beşiktaş — he even returned briefly to the Czech Republic, where he distinguished himself by winning the Hitpoint Masters Season 8.

So close to the title

Patrik's big break came in 2018 — he joined H2K for their final year competing in League of Legends, and though the team struggled, his talent caught the attention of Origen, who signed him in 2019. That year, Patrik achieved his career-best LEC result: a second-place finish in the Spring Split, swept in the finals by the legendary G2 Esports roster featuring Luka "Perkz" Perković in the botlane. Unfortunately, Origen faltered in Summer, finishing 8th and failing to make an impact in the Regional Finals. It was the closest Patrik had ever come to a Worlds appearance — and the dream has continued to elude him since.

In 2020, Patrik joined Excel Esports, where he often shone individually but struggled to find consistent team success. The team's performance varied widely, with a notable low point in 2023 when they placed 10th in both Winter and Spring despite building a superteam. However, a Summer saw a resurgence to a surprising second-place finish, thanks in large part to the fresh dynamic brought by Felix "Abbedagge" Braun and Dino "LIMIT" Tot. Despite this brief high, Patrik's tenure at Excel was largely defined by middling results.

In 2024, the numbers speak for themselves: Patrik struggled. His performance was tainted by frequent mistakes and a lack of impact, with his synergy alongside Lee "IgNar" Dong-geun often leaving much to be desired. Within his team, only rookie Adam "Jackies" Jeřábek consistently stepped up to drive the game forward. Unsurprisingly, Sheep Stats ranked Patrik as the lowest-rated ADC in the league, assigning him a score of 56/100. He was the least lethal botlaner, averaging just 3.6 kills per game, and had the lowest assist rate at 4.29 per game. Additionally, he ranked second-to-last in damage dealt, with an average of 596.15 per game.

Rogue's third piece

With their future in the league still uncertain and every other LEC roster long completed — some even beginning to practice and scrim — Rogue have finally taken their first steps forward. Despite being constrained by the potential sale of their slot to a third-party organization, they’ve secured a verbal agreement with another league veteran fresh off a five-year tenure with his former team. In doing so, Rogue position themselves as a refuge for Patrik, laying the second cornerstone of a project that still has many questions to answer. With Adam "Adam" Maanane and Emil "Larssen" Larsson, Rogue have now locked three players for the 2025 season.
