The Spanish support is set to re-join the Superliga with Barça eSports for the Summer Season.
Support Víctor "Oscure" Guzmán Fernández has reached a verbal agreement with Barça eSports to compete in the LVP Superliga 2024 Summer Season sources tell Sheep Esports on Monday. This move will mark the player's return to the Spanish ERL after having taken a split hiatus to focus on his academic studies. Further information shared with Sheep Esports revealed that the player received interest from multiple other Superliga teams, notably Rebels Gaming.
Returning to the Superliga
A former finalist in the regional league, the Spanish support is now set to return to professional play with Barça eSports. In the past, the player was most known for his breakout performances with BISONS ECLUB, with whom he reached the EMEA Masters three times, even finishing in 1st place in the 2023 summer regular season. Per sources, after BISONS left the Superliga, the player decided to take a hiatus to focus on his studies. Further information revealed that the player's return is directly linked to his academic summer break, allowing him to compete from June to September.
During the first half of the year, Barça eSports unfortunately did not achieve its expected results within the Spanish ERL. Despite having assembled a roster featuring multiple veteran profiles, the team ended the Spring Season in 9th place with a cumulative score of 4 - 14, failing to qualify for the league's playoffs phase. The team hopes to improve its previous results in the Summer Split through this move.
The fate of BAR's former support, Hustlin, remains unknown at this time. According to the Global Contract Database, the player remains contracted until the end of 2024.
This movement will be added to our Transfers Hub shortly after the publication of this article.
