Bulldog bets on youth with Dream and Artanis joining Kasing for a high-upside NLC Summer
NLC organization Bulldog Esports have completed their roster rebuild for the Summer Split. While veteran and former LEC support Raymond "Kasing" Tsang returns to the lineup, the spotlight is on two young rookies with zero competitive experience, who will make their ERL debut this summer.
The team is taking a bold bet on the next generation, bringing in 17-year-olds Julien "Artanis" Poisson and Julien "Dream" Jasses as jungle and ADC respectively — both straight from solo queue and eager to prove themselves at the regional level, sources tell Sheep Esports on Thursday.
Who is Artanis? From Kayn OTP to ERL jungler
Julien "Artanis" Poisson began his climb early, reaching Master at 14 and hitting Challenger at 15. Though best known as a Kayn OTP in his early years, he’s since expanded his champion pool to prepare for competitive play. Now 17, he remains a top-tier solo queue player, recently climbing back to Challenger and hovering around Grandmaster in between. He made brief appearances in the French Open Tour (LFL's third division), finishing top 4 and top 7 — but the NLC marks his first proper entrance into the ERL system.
Artanis brings not just mechanics but a unique understanding of how games flow. According to those working with him, he’s hungry, confident, and openly aiming to become the best jungler in the world.
Who is Dream? A full-time commitment to pro play
Julien "Dream" Jasses, also 17, has followed a similar trajectory. He first hit Challenger at 15 and currently plays around 1200 LP. A natural Aphelios main with an appreciation to champions like Ezreal, Kai’Sa and Kalista, he recently completed his studies a year early and has committed to playing full-time in 2025.
His only prior competitive experience comes from the French Open Tour, where he placed top 8 with a roster under Komai. While still raw in terms of official matches, Dream is considered one of the most promising French ADC talents in his age group — and his arrival in the NLC will be one to watch.
Spotted by Nicolas Perez’s high-elo development project
Both rookies are part of a high-elo development Discord for young player run by Nicolas "Nicolas Perez" Perez, assistant coach for GIANTX in the LEC. Perez launched the server as a side project to scout and mentor young solo queue talent with pro potential — and was impressed by both of Bulldog’s rookies.
“I was really impressed by how Artanis sees the flow of games in general,” Perez said. “With good coaching, he can be a leading jungler in ERL soon.”
“Dream is one of the AD carries that gives me hope about this new generation coming in,” he added. “He has a really good reading of teamfights and threats in general. When he improves his consistency, he’ll challenge top ERL ADCs without a doubt.”
Agent perspective: Dream’s maturity and potential
Raphaël, agent at Tailors and representative of Dream, also shed light on the player’s mindset and the decision to join Bulldog.
“From our first conversations, I found Dream incredibly mature for his age — he was only 16 but already had his head on straight when it came to expectations and communication,” Raphaël said. “We haven’t seen him in many projects yet, but he’s a hard worker with real mechanical talent.”
Originally, Dream was among the top 3 candidates for IZI Dream, another ERL project with promotion ambitions. But ultimately, they felt Bulldog offered a better foundation.
“The idea of building around Kasing was especially appealing,” Raphaël explained. “He’s known for being pedagogical and supportive, which is perfect for a rookie. IZI was tempting but had much higher immediate performance pressure — Bulldog was the smarter first step.”
“Now that Dream has finished school and gone full-time, I have no doubt he can become one of the flagship French ADCs in the next 2-3 years.”
