Svenskeren, Damonte and Rigby were also considered
Brandon "Mash" Phan is set to join Disguised, the LTA North Conference’s guest slot team, as the team’s head coach for the 2025 season, according to sources close to Sheep Esports. Mash was the head coach of Team Liquid Challengers during a fairly inconsistent year: They finished in 3rd place in Spring and 7-8th place in Summer Splits.
Dennis "Svenskeren" Johnsen, DSG’s coach in the NACL 2024 season, was considered for the role, alongside Tanner "Damonte" Damonte and Han "Rigby" Earl.
Mash has a lot of experience dealing with younger players, having coached in the tier 2 scene for multiple years now. Despite middling recent results, Mash has a strong resume — he qualified for Worlds in 2020 with FlyQuest and in 2023 with the LCS champions, NRG.
Four players to find
With DSG’s only player reportedly locked being the midlaner Felix “Abbedagge” Braun, finalized before Mash’s arrival, DSG can now comfortably build the rest of the roster with their coach’s input in mind.
Having played professionally as an AD Carry for nine years, Mash is set to make his return to tier 1 as a coach, bringing a wealth of experience to a team hoping to pull off an upset on a budget and not get relegated come the end of the year.
