The latest organization to join the NLC is coming in with a strong roster
Lionscreed has been announced this week as the latest organization to join the Northern League of Legends Championship (NLC). The British organization, already present in the NLC Division 2 last year, are exchanging their spot with Vanir who are stepping down from the top division.
Sources have told to Sheep Esports that the roster will field the following roster:
Toplane: Andreas "Banderas" Barril
Jungle: Kim "Winter 7" Yo-han (also known as Yohan)
Midlane: Kang "Tempt" Myung-gu
Botlane: Ronan James "jinjo" Swingler
Support: Raymond "Kasing" Tsang
All of those players should be known among NLC fans as all of them have played in the region previously. Indeed, Banderas, Winter 7 & Jinjo played for Riddle Esports together last year. On the other hand, former LEC player Kasing and former LCK played Tempt have played together for X7 Esports in 2022.
The coaching staff will be constituted of Baguette and Seno who previously coached (with Kasing) at Akroma in LFL Division 2, as well as Softorius who was already with Lionscreed last season.
The team also considered other players during the offseason. Notably Stefan "Stefan" Nikolić was also considered as a jungle option. A pretty unlucky offseason for him as he was also considered by Eintracht Frankfurt that couldn't get him due to visa issues. Our sources currently don't know his final destination.
The offseason was a bit chaotic in the botlane as Ronaldo "Ronaldo" Betea was considered as an option by roleswapping to AD Carry along with Jinjo. The organisation still decided to take Jinjo in the end. AD Carry Alex "Mirbs" Holmin was also considered.
Despite this, the team managed to build a strong roster that should be one of the favorites in the NLC 2024 and potentially compete at the EMEA Masters.
