The LFL Champion and ex-LEC player joins Solary
Top laner Felix "Kryze" Hellström has reached a verbal agreement with Solary in the LFL, according to Sheep Esports sources. The player will be returning to the league after a successful Spring Split during which he would claim his first championship title along with the now defunct LDLC OL. The player was also considered by Team GO in the LFL.
A tumultuous history
Kryze has had a long history in the EMEA region throughout his career. First debuting in his home region, Kryze was once regarded as a promising rookie after good semi-professional results & great SoloQ results. Fast forward a few years, Kryze has now experienced 3 splits in the LEC and around 3 years within Europe's regional league system.
Announced to join legendary French organization LDLC OL in January of 2023, fans had little expectation for the roster going into LFL's spring split. Despite doubts, the player would go on to lead his team towards a 1st place finish both in the group stage and playoffs, sweeping the tournament's grand finals 3 : 0 against Team GO.
What looked like a Cinderella story for the vastly underrated team would soon come crashing down after the team would be eliminated from EMEA Masters quarterfinals by the eventual champions İstanbul Wildcats.
Disaster struck when LDLC OL, one of the LFL's longest standing organizations, later announced their withdrawal from the esports scene. Plagued by uncertainty, the former spring champions would go on to have a disastrous split in summer and finish in 9th place.
Now, Kryze holds his fate in his hands as he looks to replicate his 2023 spring results for what could be one of the LFL's top contenders for 2024. With a star-studded roster around him, the Swedish player now hopes to earn Solary its first ever title of LFL champion and claim himself a second appearance in the EMEA Masters Main Event.
