kibah left the team despite being in Marseille for a bootcamp with Klanik
Klanik Esport was set for the Summer Split. After fielding five new players for their roster, the team started to bootcamp in Marseille. However, two of their players have since our report, broken their verbal agreements. The expected botlane of AD Carry Eid "Aklass" Alazmi and Support Batuhan "kibah" Gazier Kibar will not play for the team as a consequence. Instead AD Carry Fatihcan "Fatihcan" Demir and Support Jakob "Lauxio" Dovgan will be joining the French team.
How the players left
It all started on Sunday May 5th and Monday May 6th when kibah and Aklass respectively reached a verbal agreement with Klanik Esport. They were joining a roster of Toplaner Ilias "C7" Mebarki, Jungler Jordan “jokaa” Ochs, Midlaner Kim “Phantomles” Storm who were also under verbal agreement with the team.
The newly formed team travelled to Paris for the LFL Media Days on the same Monday as a consequence. After that, they travelled to Marseille as Klanik Esport organzed a bootcamp in order to be ready for the Sumer Split. However, AD Carry Aklass was not part of the bootcamp because of visa issues.
Last Thursday, May 9th, Aklass decided to break his verbal agreement with Klanik Esport following some difficult scims and personal struggles. Per sources, Aklass was set to play professionally after finishing university in the United Kingdom. However, this also means that his student visa is set to expire and that the player had to return to his his home country, Kuwait.
While It wouldn't be an issue for the player to get a new visa and play in Europe, he would have to compete for some time in Kuwait on very high ping during the process. This meant that Aklass and Klanik Esport would have to practice in suboptimal conditions and led to the player breaking his verbal agreement. Due to those complications, Aklass will not be playing in ERLs this Summer, but he will be able to return to Europe in the future.
Still at the bootcamp in Marseille, Aklass' departure led to kibah questionning his own place on the team. Following some disagreements between the player and Klanik Esport on what to change with the roster, kibah decided to leave the team and look for options in the Arabian League. The Danish support broke his verbal agreement last Sunday on May 12th while still in Marseille for Klanik Esport.
Despite considering some possibilities in the Arabian League, kibah wasn't able to find another team. Him and Aklass will both be teamless as a consequence since all ERL teams have now locked their rosters.
A new botlane
Turkish player Fatihcan will be joining the team after a split with Anubis Gaming in the Arabian League. He will be joined by Support Lauxio SPIKE Syndicate who finished second place in the EBL this Spring and participated in the EMEA Masters Play-Ins.
Both players will be playing for the first time in France with Klanik Esport alongside C7, jokaa and Phantomles. The roster now seems to be actually completed and is set to practice in order to improve Klanik's result in the LFL Second Division following their tenth place finish in Spring.
