Former DSG toplaner FakeGod reaches verbal agreement with Shopify
Top Laner Aaron "FakeGod" Lee has reached verbal agreement with Shopify Rebellion to re-join the League Championship Series (LCS), according to sources close to Sheep Esports. The American player recently achieved success in the North American Challengers League (NACL) under Disguised, a team associated with content creator and OfflineTV member Jeremy "Disguised Toast" Wang.
Back in the LCS
FakeGod previously played with Dignitas from 2020 to 2022, a period marked by less-than-stellar performances, including a top finish of 6th place during the LCS 2021 summer split. After taking a split off, he joined C9 Challengers in the 2023 spring and later moved to DSG for the summer, securing victories in both splits of the NACL.
An interesting connection arises as both Seong "Reven" Sang-hyeon and FakeGod were part of the Cloud9 Challengers roster that emerged victorious in the NACL spring split, highlighting potential pre-existing synergy.
These results showcase FakeGod's evident growth, skill set, and unwavering dedication to the game. Once shunned for his time with DIG and 100 Thieves, the 23-year-old top laner is now making a resurgence and solidifying his position as a valuable prospect for 2024. He now prepares to face off against the highest level of competition in North America.
