Akroma changes three players after disappointing eighth-place in LFL 2 spring split
Akroma needed a change. Only eighth in the LFL Division 2 spring split with five wins to 13 losses, the team decided to enlist three new players to try and revive the machine: Khaled “Difference” Said on the toplane, Lovre “Mafro” Čorić in the jungle and Théo “Booshi” Mouchiroud in the ad carry position. It's a real gamble Akroma is taking given the uncertainties surrounding these three players.
The most experienced of the three, Difference, has already proved his worth in the German equivalent of the French second division. He finished first in the Prime League 2 regular season last summer with DKB XPERION NXT and then joined Eintracht Frankfurt in the top german flight for 2024. But, like Akroma, Difference has had a complicated spring split (8th), and its latest experience has been mixed.
Big first for Booshi
Mafro's situation is much the same. The Croatian, who came through the Mastercard Nexus Tour and has two EMEA Masters play-in appearances to his name, didn't particularly shine with Lille Esport in spring 2024. He missed out on qualification for the play-offs after a tense final day and will therefore not be extending his adventure with the northern french club, who have now opted for Dmitry “OWLONSKY” Rusu, as reported by Sheep Esports on Friday. Like Akroma and Difference, Mafro will be looking to bounce back.
Booshi launched his career just over a year ago, also on the Mastercard Nexus Tour. But although he took part in all the stages and then the play-offs of the MNT under different banners, the French player hasn't played a competitive game since the Coupe de France, contested with Zerance in September 2023. Since then, Booshi has been Samet “Coldraa” Safran's replacement at Team du Sud in the LFL. The ad carry had not played in the spring segment and will therefore discover the lower level next summer.
