Decay picks Solary over Team GO during offseason battle
Nicolas "Decay" Gawron is extending his contract with Solary for 2025, sources tell Sheep Esports. The French Midlaner decided to re-sign with the blue & yellow organization despite negotiations with Team GO. Other teams such as BK ROG Esports and Vitality.Bee were also interested in the player but didn't enter any negotiation battle. Per sources, the player decided on Solary over Team GO because he appreciated the club and its fans.
Decay played a key role in the significant roster changes Solary undertook last year during the offseason. As the first player locked for the roster next year, Decay is currently the central part of the project. Solary will now embark on another ground-up rebuild after another disappointing season, finishing twice in seventh place and failing to qualify for both LFL playoffs and EMEA Masters. This signing follows the club's announcement last week that Danny "Dan Dan" Le Comte will serve as head coach for the next two years. Solary has now laid the first two foundational stones of its project, aiming to secure its first LFL title since the league's creation six years ago.
This good news for the club comes as they prepare to play in their first Coupe de France Final at Paris Games Week on October 23, to finally win their first-ever title on the League of Legends circuit.
