The TCL team found their second resident in a promising support
Support Mustafa "Carry" Selim Yılmaz and Head Coach Ömer "Basei" Onay are set to join Papara SuperMassive in the TCL for the Summer Split, sources have told Sheep Esports. Coach Jakub "bezum" Iwanicki and Support Jakub "Jactroll" Skurzyński futures are currently unknown as a consequence.
Contested by TCL teams
Carry gathered a lot of interest from TCL teams this offseason. The Turkish support namely had offers from FUT Esports and Misa Esports for Summer. Many other teams considered the support as well. Even outside of Turkey, the French organization Team du Sud (TDS) also considered Carry as a possible new support. However, the LFL team ended up securing another player instead.
Carry was especially valuable to Supermassive with his Turkish residency, which will allow the team to possibly find a non-LTR player in the Midlane. The team also acquired Unforgiven in the AD Carry position as reported by Sheep Esports. Toplaner İrfan Berk "Armut" Tükek will be the other resident on the roster alongside Carry.
A Winter Split full of ups and downs
Supermassive gathered a lot of big names like İrfan Duncan "Skeanz" Marquet and Jactroll for this year. Their objective was clear, to come top of their national league, and then perform at the EMEA Masters. Although they were able to reach their first goal, it wasn’t an easy road, as they had to reverse sweep Beşiktaş Esports in the finals to claim the trophy.
EMEA Masters was another story though. TCL’s first representative got eliminated alongside Guasones in Group C after a catastrophic Group Stage, where they were just able to get one win (1-5). These results were certainly disappointing for the winner of one of the stronger regions of the ERL scene.
Carry who played for BoostGate Esports last split, will be joining alongside his Head Coach Basei. With BoostGate Esports, both had similar results as they qualified for the EMEA Masters but couldn't make it further than the group stages. Luckily for them, Beşiktaş Esports showed that there is still a lot of hope for Turkey as they are the representatives from the TCL that managed to qualify for the EMEA Masters finals.
