Badlulu heads to the LVP, seeking a fresh start after enduring three LFL relegation battles in his career
Lucas "Badlulu" Piochaud will play for GIANTX Pride in the 2025 LVP Superliga. Sources told Sheep Esports the club has successfully reached a verbal agreement with the French toplaner who will be replacing Miłosz "R4VEN" Domagalski in the starting roster.
Badlulu is a well-known name in the French esports scene. He was initially recognized as a young prodigy in the professional Trackmania circuit, where he began competing at age 15. He made six appearances at the highly publicized ZrT Trackmania Cup, organized by Adrien "ZeratoR" Nougaret. It wasn’t until 2021 that Badlulu transitioned to the professional League of Legends scene, joining Solary Academy in the LFL Div2.
By the following year, he had already caught attention and moved up to the LFL with Mirage Elyandra, though the year proved challenging for the team (finishing 9th in the Spring and 10th in the Summer). Mirage Elyandra left the league at the end of the season, but Badlulu stayed, signing with GameWard, where he finished 6th in Spring before a Summer collapse that saw them again finish in 10th.
GX Pride keep attracting young talents
This year, Badlulu took his first step into the LVP Superliga with Case Esports, achieving a career-high 4th place in an ERL. Unfortunately, the team announced its decision to cease operations after the LVP Superliga 2024 Spring Season. As a result, the toplaner was once again a free agent, eventually finding a spot with AEGIS, a team aiming to rebuild after a disappointing Spring. Unfortunately, roster changes couldn’t prevent another 10th-place finish for Badlulu in this Summer’s LFL season.
Overall, Badlulu has endured three LFL relegation battles, managing to stay in the league only twice, with AEGIS failing to maintain their spot after this year’s 10th-place finish. They were ultimately replaced by Ici Japon Corp, the champions of the relegation tournament.
Destiny led him back to the LVP Superliga with GIANTX Pride, a team eager to improve upon a somewhat underwhelming season, with a third-place finish in the Spring Split and sixth in the Summer Split. To strengthen their lineup, they have already begun adding fresh young talent. According to Sheep Esports, the team has reached a verbal agreement with support player Lospa and extended their contract with midlaner Feisty.
