Over 200 new cards
Riftbound, Riot Games' League of Legends-inspired Trading Card Game, has just revealed details about its second set, titled Spiritforged, scheduled for release in late 2025 in China and early 2026 in its English version. Centered around new characters not featured in Origins, the game’s first set, this expansion will shine a spotlight on Irelia, Ezreal, Lucian, Fiora, and Rumble.
While Origins is set to release in English on October 31—having already launched in China on August 1—Riot Games isn’t wasting any time in building momentum for its latest venture. As outlined in a recent announcement, the North American publisher is planning to release eight new sets over the next two years (2026 and 2027), with Spiritforged kicking things off this coming February. With a new set expected every three months, the gap between the Chinese and English releases should gradually close, aiming for synchronized global launch dates in the near future.
With over 200 brand-new cards, Spiritforged promises to introduce fresh lore elements and feature additional champions from the League of Legends universe. Alongside this major set release, Riot Games also confirmed in its press release that two new Champion Decks will be launching at the same time, along with other yet-to-be-announced content.
Beyond the initial launch, Riot Games is preparing several other products to celebrate the game’s first year. A limited Riftbound x Worlds box is already planned for the end of the year, while a special Arcane English-language box will be available for pre-order at the end of August.
