Former World Champion Joins BLG as coach
Former World Champion Lee "Easyhoon" Ji-hoon is returning to the League of Legends competitive scene after a break following his tenure with Weibo Gaming in 2023. With this new acquisition, Bilibili Gaming is adding the South Korean coach to their ranks, hoping that his expertise, along with the addition of Yan "Wei" Yang-Wei, will help the organization surpass its recent MSI runner-up finish.
A Storied Career
Formerly a key part of SK Telecom T1's renowned 2015 6-man roster, Easyhoon is a name that resonates with any fan of the LCK. Throughout his career, the now 31-year-old has achieved more than most professional League of Legends players can boast. Winning the World Championship alongside Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok, Easyhoon is now transitioning to a different role once again.
Despite already having two and a half years of coaching experience with Suning in 2019 and Weibo Gaming in 2022-2023, Easyhoon took a break starting in mid-2023. He first took on the role of analyst for the official LCK broadcast before becoming an influencer for T1 in March of this year. Now, Easyhoon is looking to help bring BLG to new heights as he returns to his previous functions and rejoins the LPL. At this time, the impact of this move on the team's existing coaching staff remains unknown, though it is expected that Easyhoon will integrate as an additional asset to the team's staff.
