"On February 4, OGN TV announced that it would broadcast all LCK matches on IPTV and cable channels, starting with the LCK Cup."
OGN TV will make a return to broadcasting LCK matches on both IPTV and cable, starting with the LCK Cup on February 10 at 23:00 KST. The broadcast agreement is set to run for two years, allowing the LCK to be televised for 2025 and 2026.
History between OGN TV and LCK
OGN TV is a South Korean television channel specialized in esports and various gaming-related content. OGN previously broadcasted “The Champions” — LCK's predecessor — from 2012 to 2015 and continued to air LCK matches until 2019, when Riot Games terminated their broadcasting rights.
Riot decided to end its collaboration with OGN TV following the LoL Park's opening in Seoul, producing and broadcasting the league in-house using the new studio.
Nam Yoon-seung, CEO of OGN, stated: "We are excited to broadcast the LCK, which has one of the best reputations in the world. We will continue to grow to become a gaming channel specialized in esports, appreciated by viewers."
