Peanut becomes the second player after Faker to reach 500 LCK wins
Hanwha Life Esports are back in form. After dropping their opening match of the LCK Round 1-2 against Gen.G, they’ve been on a tear, stringing together four consecutive wins. Choi "Zeus" Woo-je and his teammates kept the streak alive with a clean victory over DRX—an especially memorable one as it marked Han "Peanut" Wang-ho’s 500th career win in the LCK, making him only the second player in league history to reach that milestone after Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok.
In the second series of the day, OKSavingsBank BRION picked up their second win of the split with a hard-fought victory over KT Rolster. The loss leaves KT stuck near the bottom of the standings, just ahead of the struggling DN Freecs.
500 wins and over 10 years of career
Hanwha Life continue to build momentum, cruising past DRX with a clean 2-0 victory. Game 1 was a textbook display of control from the First Stand champions, who methodically snowballed their lead from the early game. Peanut delivered a standout performance on Xin Zhao, playing a central role in HLE’s proactive style and participating in 18 of the team’s 22 kills. Zeus, meanwhile, topped the damage charts on Rumble, further highlighting the team’s cohesion, execution, and discipline in team fights that left little room for DRX to respond.
The second game offered a much bloodier affair, with 33 kills shared across both sides, but once again it was HLE’s superior map play that set them apart. Zeus pulled out the first toplane Nidalee in the LCK in over a decade—a bold and unexpected pick that proved to be a difference-maker. He completely outmaneuvered Lee "Rich" Jae-won’s Sion in the side lanes, applying relentless split-push pressure that dismantled DRX’s structure over time. With every tower that fell, DRX lost more ground, and despite their efforts in skirmishes, the game slowly slipped out of their hands.
Second consecutive win for Brion
BRION sign a second straight win after taking down DN Freecs last week, this time edging out KT Rolster 2-1 in a tightly contested series. Things didn’t start well for BRO, though. Game 1 was a bloody back-and-forth, with both teams trading skirmishes around objectives. It all came down to a chaotic fight in the botside river, where BRO secured the Elder Dragon but were immediately wiped out. KT grabbed Baron in response and closed out the game after 44 minutes.
Game 2 followed a more standard script. A quiet early game gave way to a mid-game controlled entirely by BRION, who steadily built their lead and closed out the match in under 30 minutes. KT never really found an answer. The deciding game, however, kept LCK fans on edge. KT held a slight gold lead over the first 20 minutes, but couldn’t turn it into anything decisive. BRION clawed their way back without ever fully taking over—until the turning point at the 30-minute mark. In the game’s defining fight, Ham "HamBak" Yoo-jin’s Naafiri dismantled KT, sending nearly the entire roster back to base and creating an advantage too steep to recover from. With this win, BRION secure their second victory of the split against a direct rival in the race for playoffs.
Tomorrow, BNK FearX will open the day against T1 as they look to end their losing streak, while DN Freecs will aim for their first win of the split against Dplus KIA—a daunting challenge, and a must-win if they hope to stay in the playoff hunt.
