The LFL Days made their home in the Karmine Corp stadium
The 2025 Spring Split kicked off in grand style with the LFL Holy Days lighting up the Arènes de Grand Paris Sud this Wednesday. A sold-out arena, a roaring crowd, and five electric best-of-ones brought the French League of Legends scene back to life in the best way possible. And from insane comebacks to massive outplays, day one had everything. Backed by the energy of a 3,000-strong crowd, BK ROG, Vitality.Bee, Galions, Joblife, and Solary each started their split with a win.
BK ROG vs GameWard
BK ROG came in focused and left with a clean win over GameWard. While the early game saw GW control dragons and get first blood, BK ROG's midgame setup — built around Sejuani-Yone-Rakan — eventually flipped the map in their favor. Key moments like a 17-minute Herald and a smooth Athakan at 27 minutes gave them the full reins. GameWard couldn’t secure a single tower, and their early advantage melted under pressure.
All eyes were on Théo "Booshi" Mouchiroud as he stepped up for his first game with BK ROG, taking over the ADC role vacated by Tim "Keduii" Willers's departure to SK Gaming in the LEC—and he didn’t disappoint. Alongside him, Šimon "OMON" Řiháček shined with an excellent on-stage debut.
VIT.B vs BDS.A
This one could’ve gone either way — until it couldn’t. BDS Academy had a slight edge in the early game, primarily through their botlane. But a misstep at 25 minutes proved fatal as BDS tried to set up around the Athakan, Vitality.Bee executed a perfect engage: Kadir "Fleshy" Kemiksiz's Rell found the angle, Vincent "Vetheo" Berrié held the zone, and Josip "Jopa" Čančar's Sivir obliterated the entire squad. Pentakill. Baron. Game over. Vitality.Bee snowballed their 10k gold lead from there, closing it out with dominance.
Ici Japon Corp vs Galions
Galions delivered a confident, almost methodical win in their first match of the split. Though IJC had a strong early showing — especially with Akali as a key win condition — the momentum didn't hold into the midgame. Galions’ draft was clearly better suited for scaling and team fighting. Onurcan "Ragner" Aslan had a standout performance on stage, and Jean "Jezu" Massol, ever cool in post-match, admitted he didn’t feel much pressure from Lee "Hans SamD" Jae-hoon in lane — “at least not compared to Caliste last year.”
Joblife vs Gentle Mates
Joblife's first official LAN match in the LFL was more than just a win — it was a statement of intent. They overcame early nerves and delivered a well-controlled midgame to secure victory against Gentle Mates. Post-match, Leny "Leny" Albertini opened up about the emotional weight of playing in front of such a passionate live audience, saying he felt the fear of letting fans down. “Tomorrow will be different,” he promised. And despite the nerves, Joblife showed they’re capable of handling the stage, especially without the distraction of a lane swap meta.
Solary vs Karmine Corp Blue
This match had everything — explosive early aggression from Solary, two massive midgame throws that allowed Karmine Corp Blue to claw back, and finally, a miracle teamfight win that sent the crowd into a frenzy. Solary looked sharp in the first 15 minutes, only to falter twice around key objectives. KCB looked ready to steal the win... until one final call changed it all. In a late-game skirmish, Solary grouped and pushed as five, taking advantage of KCB’s melee-heavy comp.
The risky move paid off, and they closed out the game in dramatic fashion. Afterward, Nicolas "Decay" Gawron explained they were used to having shaky midgame decisions and that today, they managed to keep their cool and find the solution at the right time to fix this mistake. He then reflected on last split’s third-place finish, saying: “It was good, but it’s not the goal. We want more.” Judging by that clutch call, they just might get it.
