Vitality finishes 7th for the second split in a row; Heretics already beat their Winter 8th place
The LEC Spring Split regular season has finally come to an end after an exceptional fourth day, which saw Team Heretics and Team Vitality face off. In just under 34 minutes, the Spaniards executed a well-coordinated victory with a great punishment in the very last teamfight over the Bees, securing the sixth and final playoff spot in a Best-of-One.
What made this match even more memorable was the chaotic brilliance of top laner Carl "Carlsen" Carlsen. Despite a rough early game, where he seemed to contribute little and trailed significantly in gold, he pulled off a stunning late-game flank that turned the tide completely. His performance served as a reminder that in League of Legends, even the quietest player can steal the spotlight in one decisive moment.
The French team suffers yet another setback, despite aiming to build a project with great potential. The arrival of Yasin "Nisqy" Dinçer in the support role at the start of the split wasn't enough to trigger a turnaround, and they finished in 7th place, ending one of the tightest regular seasons in LEC history.
KC vs MKOI, G2 vs Fnatic
The playoffs bracket is now set. In this double elimination format, the top four teams enter the winner's bracket, while the 5th and 6th start in the loser's bracket. As the league’s first seed, Karmine Corp logically chose Movistar KOI as their first-round opponent, paving the way for a classic European showdown: Fnatic vs G2 Esports in the second winner’s bracket match.

This will be the first BO5 between KC and MKOI this year, as they only met in a BO3 during Winter, where the Blue Wall secured a logical win. Coincidentally, the same applies to G2 and Fnatic, who also only faced off in a BO3 during Winter. Each of these four teams is now just two wins away from qualifying for MSI, as Europe will be sending its two Spring finalists to Canada.
