Faker becomes the first player in LCK history to reach 5,500 assists
Expected results in the LCK today, as T1 secured their fourth consecutive win with a clean victory over Dplus KIA, who continue to struggle and are now on a six-game losing streak. Gen.G also delivered a dominant 2-0 performance against BNK FEARX to remain at the top of the LCK standings. Jeong "Chovy" Ji-hoon was once again awarded MVP for his standout play in the second series, while Mun "Oner" Hyeon-jun took home the MVP honors for the day’s opening match.
A jungle-support synergy
Since Lee "Gumayusi" Min-hyeong returned to the starting roster, T1 seem to have found their stride, stringing together a series of wins. While those victories have mostly come against teams going through rough patches themselves, the momentum is undoubtedly a good sign for the reigning World Champions. In Game 1, the jungle-support synergy between Oner and Ryu "Keria" Min-seok once again proved decisive, and the toplaner recovered well from a shaky early game. A clean teamfight around the 24-minute mark sealed the deal and pushed T1 far ahead.
Game 2 was a chaotic, high-kill affair with over 40 kills, most of them in T1’s favor. Draft advantage played a key role, with strong lane matchups across the board. Oner delivered a solid performance on Sejuani, and the botlane was completely dominant—Gumayusi posted a 12/3/17 scoreline, while Keria racked up 26 assists without a single kill. Choi "Doran" Hyeon-joon also had a strong showing on Camille; the toplaner is in excellent form and continues to be a major contributor to T1’s recent success.
The undefeated
Gen.G have once again come out on top in the LCK, claiming their twelfth consecutive victory and continuing their march toward a perfect split. FEARX gave them a real scare in Game 1, though. After a quiet but controlled early game, Gen.G built up a lead of over 6,000 gold. Just when the game looked out of reach, a well-executed teamfight led by Nam "Diable" Dae-geun gave FEARX an Ace and brought the game back into balance. But at 35 minutes, a scrappy fight saw Gen.G catch out the enemy toplaner and jungler, clean up the rest, and secure the win.
Game 2 featured an unusual pick from Kim "Canyon" Geon-bu, who locked in Zed jungle—only the third time the champion has been played in the jungle across major regions in 2025. Canyon had already used it once earlier this split against DK, winning that series as well. This game was much calmer, with neither side holding a clear lead until the 25-minute mark. That’s when Gen.G caught Diable in the midlane, followed up with multiple kills and secured Baron Nashor, closing out the game and staying firmly at the top of the standings.
To close out the week, tomorrow's matches will see Nongshim RedForce face off against DN Freecs in a best-of-three that heavily favors NS. Meanwhile, Hanwha Life Esports will go up against DRX and are expected to maintain their winning streak—despite DRX showing signs of life in recent games.
