Nongshim RedForce remain winless
The LCK weekend kicked off with OKSavingsBank BRION reverse sweeping DRX to solidify their third place in the Rise group, holding a two-win lead. Meanwhile, T1 locked their playoff spot by defeating Nongshim RedForce 2-0, aiming now for second place, which they will contest with Hanwha Life Esports, currently two wins ahead. That spot grants a favorable seeding in the Playoffs. Ryu "Keria" Min-seok was named MVP of the series and reached 500 kills in the LCK, a first for a support player.
Since the start of LCK Round 3-5, BRO have been in pretty good form. They kicked off the split strongly by beating Dplus KIA, followed up with wins against DRX and DN Freecs. However, they did suffer two losses to BNK FearX. Today, they bounced back against DRX after dropping the first game. The second game was heavily dominated by BRO, with a 20-1 kill score and a match true to the LCK playstyle. The final game had some twists, but thanks to the scaling on Byeon "Hype" Jeong-hyeon’s Sivir, BRO were able to close out the series and secure their hold on third place in the group.
The Playoffs locked in
After this victory against NS, T1 have officially locked their spot in the LCK playoffs, securing at least fourth place in the Legend Group alongside HLE and Gen.G. The last spot will be contested between NS and KT Rolster, with fifth place requiring passage through the play-in phase against the top three teams from the Rise Group.
The first game lasted 28 minutes, with T1 completely dominating; Mun "Oner" Hyeon-jun once again shone on Nocturne, raising his win rate on the champion to 85%. Game 2 followed the same story, with a strong snowball and commanding performance from T1, including a standout showing by Keria on Poppy. T1 secured the series win—and their playoff berth—in 55 minutes against Nongshim.
